Paste Markdown and copy it as formatted text — headings, lists, tables and links included — ready for Google Docs, Word, Gmail, Notion or Slack. The preview updates as you type, and nothing leaves your browser.
Why Markdown pastes as symbols
Markdown is plain text with conventions: two asterisks mean bold, a hash means a heading. Only a Markdown renderer knows that, and Google Docs, Word and Gmail are not one — so pasting Markdown into them shows the asterisks. Rich text is the clipboard format those editors do understand, and it is what this tool produces.
What travels, and what the destination decides
Structure and emphasis travel exactly: heading levels, bold, italic, strikethrough, lists and their nesting, tables, links, quotes and code. Fonts and body colour are left to the app you paste into, so the result matches the rest of your document instead of looking pasted in. Task-list boxes arrive as ☐ and ☑ characters, because document editors drop form controls on paste.
Rendered safely
The preview is real formatted output, so the converter treats your Markdown as untrusted: HTML typed into it stays visible as text, and links using anything other than web, email or phone addresses are dropped. A pasted snippet cannot run script on this page.

Frequently asked questions
How do I paste Markdown into Google Docs or Word with the formatting?
Paste your Markdown on the left, press Copy rich text, then paste into the document as normal. The clipboard carries formatted HTML, so headings, bold and italic, lists, tables, code and links arrive as real formatting rather than asterisks and hash signs.
Which apps accept the rich text?
Anything with a rich editor: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, LibreOffice, Gmail, Outlook, Notion, Slack, Confluence, Evernote and most CMS editors. A plain-text field receives clean words without the Markdown symbols, because the clipboard also carries a plain-text version.
Can I turn ChatGPT or Claude answers into a formatted document?
Yes — that is the most common use. AI assistants answer in Markdown, which pastes into an email or a document as raw symbols. Paste the answer here and copy it as rich text instead. If the answer relies on single line breaks, tick Keep single line breaks.
Which Markdown features are supported?
GitHub-flavoured Markdown: headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code and fenced code blocks, links and bare URLs, images, ordered, nested and task lists, blockquotes, horizontal rules and tables with column alignment.
Why does the result look slightly different in Word or Notion?
Each editor applies its own fonts and spacing to what it receives. The converter leaves the body font and text colour to the destination on purpose, so a pasted section matches the rest of your document; structure, emphasis and tables carry over exactly.
Can I download it as a Word document or PDF?
Yes. Download offers a Word document (.doc), a web page (.html) with inline styles, and PDF through your browser print dialog — choose Save as PDF as the destination.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The conversion, the preview, the clipboard and the downloads all happen in your browser. Nothing leaves the page unless you press Share as link, which creates a ShareText note.
